Activities & Events Information
Bike Parade - Decorate your bike and yourselves and join Mayor Swain, and members of the Lantzville Fire Department, and the Lantzville Legion for a cruise down Lantzville Road to kick off the days festivities. The parade starts at the corner of Caillet Road and Lantzville Road and ends at the main stage in Huddlestone Park where prizes will be awarded for the best costumes and the opening ceremony for the day will take place.
Chicken Poop Bingo - The highlight of the day for some, our Chicken Poop Bingo can be found at the volunteer tent in the middle of the park. Pick a square that you think the Chicken might do her business on and if the chicken poops on your square you win the gift basket! Entry is free, but if you wish to make a donation you can. Each year, donations are given to a local group, charity, or project that the Minetown Day Planning Committee chooses.
Competitions - Each year, the Lantzville Rotary branch oversees the two skills competitions - the Watermelon Eating contest and the Nail Hammering Contest. These competitions are open to kids and adults alike and prizes are awarded to the top 3 in age age category. Stay tuned for a schedule of events so that you don't miss out on competing!
Live Music - We're grateful to our neighbours... The Neighbours Band! Excited to have them return this year to play crowd favourites throughout the day.
